Music
When I started this blog and bought my domain name, one of the ideas I had in mind was to use this web site to spread the word of my musical endeavors, which have changed over time. I made some music with one group but now we don’t see much of each other, and then there is Reflejos Flamencos which has been around for a while and isn’t going anywhere. I have a new group in the works but we don’t have enough material to start gigging yet.
Sounds Like Life
My friend Rhiannon Leach and I met in college and started playing together. We both wrote some songs and decided to make a band out of it. We did a few things but don’t see each other much anymore. We still have some recordings of what we did and you can hear them in the mp3 player on the right. On those tracks you will also hear Kaymen Pitts who plays bass guitar as well as many other instruments.
I produce my music in Cubase Studio 4 on my iMac. Here is a list of the equipment I use:
- Apogee One USB Interface
- Shure SM 57 dynamic microphone
- MXL V63M condenser microphone
- Audio Technica ATH-M50 monitor headphones
- Alvarez Model 5040 acoustic guitar
- LP Mario Cortés Cajon
- Overseas Connection Mali Djembe
- Cordoba C5 classical guitar
- Fender Stratocaster
Reflejos Flamencos
Reflejos Flamencos has been around for years. It started with my wife and her father, and I have had the privilege of playing with them for the past few years. All the information you need about Reflejos Flamencos is at our group’s web site that I also manage. We perform at festivals, private parties, lecture demonstrations, and we teach group and private classes in dance, guitar, and hand percussion. Our calendar of events is on our web site.
